Search & Maps Grounding

AMC WebUI integrates Google Grounding capabilities, enabling models to retrieve current web information and authoritative geospatial coordinates.

1. Real-time Google Search Grounding

  • Toggle: Click the Globe icon on the input toolbar, or type /online.
  • Mechanism: The model formulates search queries against Google’s search index during generation.
  • Citations: Responses include interactive numbered citations with source URLs, page titles, and snippets.

Designed for comprehensive research, market analysis, and multi-source verification:

  • Toggle: Select Deep Search in the tools menu, or type /deep.
  • Workflow:
    1. Decomposition: Breaks complex inquiries into targeted sub-queries.
    2. Multi-turn Exploration: Executes iterative Google searches and scores relevance across results.
    3. Synthesis: Corroborates evidence to generate structured research summaries.

3. Google Maps Geospatial Grounding

  • Supported Models: gemini-3.5-flash, gemini-3.8-flash, and related Gemini 3.x endpoints.
  • Toggle: Click the Map icon or type /maps.
  • Features:
    • Opens the Google Maps Location Modal to configure baseline coordinates and preferred regions.
    • Queries Google Maps for exact business names, verified addresses, and geospatial coordinates.
